Our Philosophy

Finishing the upolstery at the Restoration Project Recovery and Reintegration. At Restoration Project, mentally ill and head injured adults are recognized as unique populations, often with superior intelligence and talents who require meaningful employment as part of their recovery. By providing a creative, fulfilling endeavor set in a congenial atmosphere, an apprenticeship with Restoration Project challenges and nurtures their abilities. The tasks they perform must match their abilities in order to improve self-esteem.

Recovery is possible. With new medications and rehabilitative services, like Restoration Project, people with mental illness and head injuries can return to lives that are satisfying, hopeful and contributing.

Recovery is unique for each person. It requires choices and the support of allies, including the community. Work is part of the recovery process, as is laughter and success.

People of all disabilities are beneficial to each other and the community.
The goal of rehabilitation is reintegration. Education and participation of the community are vital for success.
